Hi Terry,

Our best berets are by Hoquy in France. They, too, are pure wool (laine). Maybe your beret is the same. Here's a link http://www.hats-plus.com/p-86-hoquy-french-beret.aspx. As for cleaning your beret, a lint roller is the best place to start. Storing it in a dry, dust-free location is best. As for shaping, I'm not sure much can be done. What did you have in mind? Thanks for writing in, and enjoy your hat addiction!

Hi Terry,

We only have a store in Chicago. It is a bit of a drive, but you are always welcome to come visit! Lots of great sites to see nearby while wearing a killer new hat.

I too am a student of history. I must say I enjoy the descriptions you give of the boaters, skimmers, and especially the pork pies. My hat is off to you, my good man!

Hi Bill,

Great question. Something like that is going to have to be custom made. You need to find someone with the special machinery. We don't do any major repairs like that, but I'm sure someone out there has the capability to make them. Perhaps you could start with the major brands like Stetson or Biltmore. Best of luck on your quest.
