Hi Terry,

Our best berets are by Hoquy in France. They, too, are pure wool (laine). Maybe your beret is the same. Here’s a link http://www.hats-plus.com/p-86-hoquy-french-beret.aspx. As for cleaning your beret, a lint roller is the best place to start. Storing it in a dry, dust-free location is best. As for shaping, I’m not sure much can be done. What did you have in mind? Keep me on your list for hats and seasonal hats. Wifes family came from Brooklen, best man at my wifes father wedding was Tom Genonive. I dought if I spelleb it correct.We will need a few of these hats as well as Beret from france for me.Love this site ,well see how summer goes but a beaver hat is on my list .

Hi Bill,

Great question. Something like that is going to have to be custom made. You need to find someone with the special machinery. We don’t do any major repairs like that, but I’m sure someone out there has the capability to make them. Perhaps you could start with the major brands like Stetson or Biltmore. Best of luck on your quest.
